Cache la Poudre Suite

Big Thompson Suite

Courtyard Bedrooms

Named after the Platte River feeder creeks, these three rooms have windows that open to our inviting interior courtyard. They share the men’s and women’s bathrooms with showers, located just down the hall on the lower level.

Pawnee Creek Bedroom

This spacious courtyard room with one king and one queen bed features Western décor, furnishings and throw rugs compliment the timber walls and cement floor.

Upper Courtyard Rooms

Our upper courtyard rooms, located on the upper level, are also named after the meandering creeks that feed into the nearby South Platte River. The charming rooms have wood floors, rough cut wood walls, and timber ceilings. 3/4 bathrooms on the second level are available for use by guests in our upper courtyard rooms.

Lone Tree Creek Room

Views overlooking the courtyard and access to the upper deck expansive views of the pasture, river bottom and Rocky Mountains.

Cottonwood Creek Room

Cedar Creek Room

Cedar Creek is an upper level, courtyard bedroom with a Queen bed. Views overlooking the courtyard and access to the upper deck expansive views of the pasture, river bottom and Rocky Mountains.

River Fort Ranch has four luxury guest suites, three courtyard bedrooms and three upper courtyard rooms, accommodating up to 35 overnight guests in the Fort and 6 in the farmhouse. The carefully selected furnishings and décor combine indulgent comfort and charm with a mix of contemporary designs, antiques and art.

Lodging FAQs

  • Suite guests will have full access to the inside of the main fort (kitchen excluded). There is a large dining room, 2 lounge areas with comfy leather furniture, TV’s in each suite as well as in the lounge areas, plus there are shared outdoor firepits.

  • There are 2 beautiful lounges downstairs that have gas fireplaces to utilize, with comfy leather sofas and chairs.

  • Yes. Irons, ironing boards and steamers are available upon request.

  • Yes. Hair dryers are available for our guests.

  • Yes. There is a remote control for each individual room and Kumo cloud control of Mitsubishi individualized units.

  • All of our suites and the Courtyard bedrooms have a mini fridge and coffee makers. All guests have access to the gourmet kitchen.

  • Pets are not allowed in the Main Fort Building (including the suites and courtyard rooms). We allow service animals. Any other requests are determined on a case by case basis.

  • Time of booking to 21 days out: Cancellation fee of 20%

    22 days to 8 days out: 50% refunded

    7-0 days out: No Refund
